The project comprises 4 precincts that underwent the Home Improvement Programme (HIP), with a total of 3,507 units located at Hougang Avenue 8 and Avenue 10, Hougang Street 51, Queen’s Close and Mei Ling Street.

One of the main challenges on site was that existing air-conditioning compressors obstructed the installation of the new external clothes drying racks. With careful and thorough planning to minimise inconvenience to residents, the compressors were shifted within the same day. To improve the safety and comfort of both residents and workers on site, innovative measures – such as magnetic dust curtains, noise-insulating screens and a custom exhaust fan for cement mixers – were introduced. Community care initiatives, including decluttering assistance and community facilities, fostered a sense of unity and improved residents' experience during the upgrading works. Maintaining a high level of service excellence throughout, the project achieved a 100% handover rate across all 4 precincts.
